I love composting as much as the next person. Cultivating compost from your rubbish is not only incredible for the environment but it is also magical for your health and the health of your garden.
Goodbye methane and carbon dioxide!
But what if you could grow delicious high quality fruits, vegetables and herbs from your food scraps?
Well, my dear, there is no what if's about it because you can! And it's so quick and easy you can do it with your eyes closed!
Starting your windowsill garden is effortless! Depending on the produce all you need is some water, sunshine and soil.
Cut off about 1-inch of top and place in water but do not submerge.
Cut off about 1 -3 inches of bottom and place in water but do not submerge.
Rinse seed and allow to dry on a cloth for a few days and then plant in soil.
I have probably missed some fruits and vegetables but to be honest the world is your oyster when it comes to your windowsill garden! It's all about thinking outside the box and getting creative and curious!
Once your fruits, vegetables and herbs have either sprouted a new and or grown roots it is time to move them into the garden!
